Gone with the wind and up in smoke.

The event was at the Kroc centers back lot on 117th street.  Everyone was to set up our normally indoor equipment outside.  Which we have all done before with no problem, but Saturday the wind became the problem.  The photo booth backdrop curtains were all over the place.  A guest would be in the booth and then be covered by the curtain or it would be blown out of the way so part of the background was black and the other half was green from the grass on the slight hill behind them.  So your probably thinking just attach the backdrop to the frame, at least thats what the customer wanted.  Luckily I took some sailing lessons a few years ago and understand the power of the wind and what happens when you put out a sail or in this case a curtain.  It would have took the curtains, tent, and photo booth to at least the next neighborhood.  After explaining the potential problems to customer, she agreed to not having a backdrop as long as we still took high quality photos.
At least I was not the only one having problems with the wind.  The up and smoke comes from the food vendor.  They were using the sterno candles to keep the food warm.  So add the flames, the wind, and plastic table clothes and you get a nice little fire.  A water hose placed close by made it a non event.

Getting help with the photo booth from unusual places.

At the beginning of the event the photo booth was pretty slow.  I eventually got some repeat customers that ended up becoming more than just customers.  Two girls were asking questions on how the photo booth worked.  When I showed them they ended up slowly taking on more responsibilities slowly and surely.  They started with cutting the pictures in two for me.  The prints come out as a 4X6 in print, that we cut in half with a scrap booking cutter.  Then they would help the guests with positioning themselves in the correct spot.  Then the were starting the booth and giving the count down for each picture.  Before long they were reprinting pictures if we had more than 2 guests use the booth.  We give everyone in the booth a copy of their picture.  The photo booth was running so smoothly I was able to take the trash out knowing the booth was in safe hands.

As the photo booth rental time to be open was coming to an end the sisters expressed interest in working for me.  I really enjoyed their passion and persistance, but most of our events are at night.  This obviously becomes a big problem when you are way to young to be out passed midnight.  Not to mention the working issue itself when you are that young.  When I do grow the business and need more photo booth attendants I hope I can find ones that have half the hard work ethic and dedication that those 2 had.
Thanks Again for running the booth helping our guests get photos that will help them remember the great event.

What an amazing Birthday Party that even had a photo booth

I spent Saturday night at the best party. From the beautiful dress to the well planned out dance the entertainment did not stop. Not only did they have our photo booth but also a rockin DJ. The meal was delicious which included chicken, potatoes, broccoli, soup, and a salad.
The Photo Booth was busy no stop. From the little ones to the adults the line didn’t stop during the entire event. Even during dinner some of the little ones snuck out to keep getting pictures. They tried out every prop I had, some of them liked chicago memory’s photo booth so much they tried the props a few times.
